Plot Summary

In Scream 7, the iconic slasher franchise returns with a terrifying new chapter that reignites the Ghostface legacy while pushing horror legend Sidney Prescott back into the spotlight. Years after the events of Scream VI, Sidney (Neve Campbell) has settled into a quieter life in Pine Grove, Indiana, where she runs a coffeehouse, is married to police officer Mark Evans (Joel McHale), and is raising her teenage daughter Tatum (Isabel May). Despite her attempts at normalcy, the horrors of her past are far from over.The film opens with a chilling prologue at Stu Macher's infamous house - now a tourist attraction - where a couple's visit ends in a gruesome attack by a mysterious force that burns the house down, foreshadowing the new Ghostface threat that follows.As Tatum's theater rehearsal is interrupted by Ghostface's brutal attack, Sidney's family is thrust into chaos. Ghostface doesn't just stalk from the shadows; they begin sending eerie video messages featuring deepfake images of past killers - including Nancy Loomis, Roman Bridger, and Sidney's dear friend Dewey Riley - taunting Sidney in a way that references the horrifying origins of the Woodsboro murders from the first film.Amid horrific killings - including Tatum's classmates Hannah and Aaron, and later her boyfriend Ben, who is mistakenly suspected of being involved - Sidney and her allies struggle to piece together the killer's identity.
